Safety & Privacy
Meeting strangers on video should feel exciting, not exposed. Here's exactly how SayHiCam keeps conversations private, respectful, and under your control.
Private, 1-on-1 by Design
Every conversation on SayHiCam is a private one-to-one video chat. There are no group rooms, no public streams, and no audience. When you're talking to someone, it's the two of you — that's the whole room.
Block & Report
You can leave any conversation at any moment, instantly. If someone's behavior crosses a line, block them and report it. Reports are reviewed, and people who can't treat others respectfully lose access to the community.
A Respectful Community
The rules are short: be a decent human, on camera, to another human. Harassment, pressure, and recording people without their consent have no place here. The full version lives in our Community Guidelines.
Adults Only
SayHiCam is strictly an 18+ service. If you are under 18, this isn't for you — full stop. Keeping the community adults-only is a core part of keeping it safe.
Your privacy, in practice
You control what you share. A good conversation needs your personality, not your personal details. Keep your exact address, workplace, financial information, and account logins out of chat — a great conversation never requires them.
Your camera, your call. SayHiCam runs in your browser, and your browser asks before your camera or microphone turns on. You can revoke that permission in your browser settings whenever you like.
Your data, explained plainly. What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is written in normal language in the Privacy Policy. If something there is unclear, ask us — the contact page reaches a human.
Want the habits side of this? Our blog post on video chat safety and privacy covers the everyday decisions that keep meeting new people comfortable.
Safety Questions
Only the person you are talking to. Every SayHiCam conversation is a private 1-on-1 video chat — there are no public rooms and no audience watching.
Private by Default. Yours to Control.
Say hi to someone new — and leave whenever you like. That's the deal.
